SRSB supports the local community by offering a variety of time limited work experience placements throughout the year.
We are pleased to continue our liaison with students who plan to work in fields that support our work. Their work with us is an important part of their overall training and also provides us with valuable help. We see this as an important relationship, because the students leave SRSB with more awareness of the impact of sight loss, which they will hopefully use in their working life wherever that may be.
We know that the students value their placements with us and find it very rewarding as many of them continue to volunteer with us after their placement has finished. One placement has recently been employed by us. Please see testimonials from students.
