Sheffield Hallam University

Sheffield Hallam University is the sixth largest university in the UK. It has two sites; City Campus near the city centre and Collegiate Crescent Campus near Ecclesall Road.

We have a great relationship with Sheffield Hallam University and have worked with Work Placement students and also with the Venture Matrix department on setting real-life projects for students on a variety of courses.

University of Sheffield

The University of Sheffield is a world top-100 university, in the top three nationally for best student experience, as voted for by students in the 2016 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey and the only university listed in the Sunday Times 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work for 2016.

We have a great relationship the University of Sheffield and have worked on different projects with them; the Medical Student Work Placements and Social Work Student Work Placements and the Sheffield Volunteering team and RAG Committee. We also work with the Academic Unit of Ophthalmology and Orthoptics and Orthoptics students have gained experience in several of our groups at the centre.

Sensory Impairment Team, Sheffield City Council

SRSB works closely with the Sensory Impairment Team at Sheffield City Council.

Eye Department, Royal Hallamshire Hospital

SRSB works closely with the Eye Department, including the Low Vision Service, at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. As a teaching hospital this has one of the larger eye departments in the country. To contact the Low Vison Service direct please telehone on 0114 271 1581.

Eye Department, Sheffield Children's Hospital

SRSB works closely with the Eye Department at Sheffield's Children's Hospital. We are very fortunate to have a dedicated children's hospital in Sheffield with its own eye department.
