Recycling

Help us to turn your unwanted items into funds for SRSB and RSS and help the environment at the same time. We have arrangements with recycling companies for the items listed below. If you are able to collect items with your work colleagues that would be fantatstic. Our preference is for you to drop them in to our Mappin Street Centre or post them to us, but we can sometimes arrange collection in Sheffield and Rotherham.

PLEASE NOTE: Our centres are not currently open for our usual activities due to Covid-19 restrictions. Please follow this link to read full detail in the latest Client Service Update.
Please call us on 0114 272 2757 or email info@srsb.org.uk if you have any queries.

Currency

We can raise funds from unwanted coins from any country and of any age.

Jewellery

We have a contact in the jewellery business that can raise funds for used jewellery. You may have an old ring that you can't wear anymore or is damaged, or maybe an odd ear-ring. We can take single items or collections. Gold or silver jewellery obviously pays us the best price but antique costume jewellery is also sought after.

Glasses

We don't raise funds from these, but we currently pass them on to an optician in Yorkshire who checks them and periodically takes them to Africa to be re-used.
