Introduction to the Role

Office Volunteers are a vital support to our staff, carrying out administration work. There are a variety of tasks available and we always bear in mind what the individual wants to do, their skills and capabilities. You may be entering information on our database, if you have appropriate computer skills, scanning, telephoning, collating and preparing our newsletter or leaflet mailouts, or preparing for fundraising activities.

Skills required:

A friendly nature and the ability to take direction from staff is essential. Good communication skills are also important.

Time Involved:

Flexible within our office hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Where the role is based:

At SRSB’s Mappin Street Centre in Sheffield or RSS's Ship Hill Centre in Rotherham.

You can read what our volunteers get out of different roles on our Volunteer Testimonials page.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not currently accepting applications due to the COVID-19 situation, as our centres are closed. When restrictions are lifted we would be very pleased to hear from you.

In the meantime, if you would like us to contact you when our centres reopen, you can email us here: volunteers@srsb.org.uk and we will keep your name on record.

Thank you for your interest in supporting our charity.
