Equipment Centre Volunteer

Photo of volunteer and staff at SRSB chatting about a product

Volunteering in SRSB or RSS Equipment Centres is a great opportunity to learn or enhance retail skills. It involves the sale and receipting of products, and expanding your knowledge of technology information. There is an opportunity to contribute ideas for shop displays, effectiveness of product placement and stock-taking.

Good communication and listening skills are required. Good customer service and customer relations.

2 to 4 hours, once a week. The Equipment Centre is open 8:30am to 4:30pm. But we are flexible with the time to suit you.

At SRSB’s Mappin Street Centre in Sheffield or RSS's Ship Hill Centre in Rotherham.

You can read what our volunteers get out of different roles on our Volunteer Testimonials page.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not currently accepting applications due to the COVID-19 situation, as our centres are closed. When restrictions are lifted we would be very pleased to hear from you.

In the meantime, if you would like us to contact you when our centres reopen, you can email us here: and we will keep your name on record.

Thank you for your interest in supporting our charity.
