This week is Volunteers Week (1st to 7th June), which is an annual national recognition event for the work of volunteers across the country.
Unfortunately we are unable to hold our usual volunteer appreciation evening to celebrate SRSB and RSS volunteers again this year, but we want you to know that we are thinking about you, that we miss you, and above all, that we thank you.
|
During this week, we want to shine a light on our SRSB and RSS volunteers. Because even though many of you are not able to carry out your usual roles currently, we want to make sure that you all know you are valued and your work is very much appreciated.
We have many volunteers who do many varied roles, which ensure the smooth running of our charity. There are roles working directly with clients, some supporting services within the offices, some helping our fundraising activities.
Every single one of these roles contribute to the support that we offer our clients, so whatever your do, please know that your work does not go unnoticed. It makes a huge difference to our clients and we very much appreciate the time and the talent that you so generously give to our work.
Please remain patient with us while we adapt to the ‘roadmap’ to lift restrictions. We are still providing many services to our clients, via telephone, online, by post and also with one to one appointments where appropriate. We have resumed some outdoor activities and look forward to tentatively resuming other services in the coming months.
We very much look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we are able to. We do hope that you are all keeping well and safe, and we will be in touch again when we have more news for you. In the meantime if anyone requires and advice or support please don’t hesitate to get in touch on 0114 272 2757 or email info@srsb.org.uk
With thanks from the team at SRSB and RSS.
