“Hi everyone. I began volunteering at SRSB/RSS as a trainee counsellor in October ’21 and, having recently qualified, am grateful to now be working here. 

“I have had a visual impairment from birth but only registered in 2019 when I started to realise that I needed support and was ready to accept it. This required a shift in how I saw myself and a real change to my mental health which is something I hope to offer clients when they come to see me who may be experiencing something similar. I have really enjoyed meeting the staff and clients, and am excited to be working in the role.”
