This information has been sent to us by South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive: Coronavirus National Lockdown Restrictions and Public Transport in South Yorkshire.  Supertram service changes – from Saturday 7 November.

As a result of the ongoing impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, Supertram will be making some temporary changes to its tram timetable as a result of some short notice resource issues.

Increases in COVID-19 cases is having an impact on Supertram’s resources as staff are required to self-isolate or are absent due to illness. Regrettably as a result, Supertram are temporarily unable to operate full service hours.

From Saturday 7 November, until further notice tram service hours of operation will be reduced.  All routes will operate to the current timetable and frequency, but services will end at around 8pm every day as follows:

• Yellow and Blue tram services will operate up to every 15 minutes during the day, every 20 minutes at other times and on Sunday.
• Purple route tram services will operate every 30 minutes
• Tram Train services will operate every hour

Please be aware that due to the short notice of these changes, timetables on tram stops may be incorrect until updated information can be posted. Additionally, some journey planning tools and websites may also offer incorrect journey information.

Acceptance of tram only tickets has been arranged with First and Stagecoach buses to allow customers to travel by other modes where necessary.
