We held our first public annual meeting for many years at Sheffield Town Hall on Wednesday (18th April). This was hosted by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Cllr Dr Sylvia Dunkley as one of her Charities of the Year.
The afternoon was a great success with over 100 people attending with a wide range of Sheffield organisations and businesses represented. There were presentations showcasing a sample of SRSB services delivered by our service users, volunteers and staff. This was followed by Afternoon Tea and the opportunity for people to discuss SRSB.

Steve Hambleton, our General Manager also gave an overview of the society’s finances and highlighted the challenges facing the society in the coming year. A full copy of SRSB’s financial statements for the year ended 30th June 2011 can be downloaded here.
The event was such a success and we have had such positive feedback from the guests that we hope to make this an annual event.
