SRSB Volunteer Shortlisted

Photo of Margaret in craft room with SRSB client We are delighted that Margaret, one of SRSB's longstanding volunteers has been shortlisted for the Sheffield Star's Women of Sheffield Award

Please keep your fingers crossed for her. The awards ceremony is on Sunday 8th March which is also International Women's Day. We'll let you know how she gets on. She joins many other amazing women who have been shortlisted in several different categories.
Margaret is one of the SRSB’s volunteers. She facilitates our Monday Craft Group every week. Her enthusiasm and dedication has never faltered, she constantly tries to keep our visually impaired clients engaged and busy with new ideas. When people are adapting to their sight loss, our groups encourage them to regain confidence and interest and Margaret particularly enjoys seeing people develop.

Over the past 30 years she has made a huge difference to many people with sight loss in Sheffield. Without the support of volunteers like Margaret, our charity would not be able to provide the range of activities that it does.
