Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind SEND Parents and Carer’s Survey

Kadie Rutty (Children and Family Support Officer) and Danielle May (Student Social Worker) are currently working in partnership with Sheffield City Council and other agencies regarding Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Due to your child’s visual impairment, they may be receiving support from Sheffield City Council and other agencies to give them the best possible start in life.

Sheffield City Council were inspected in November 2018 and both Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) deemed there are some areas of SEND provision that are below standard. This is why Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind is seeking your views as parents/carers to help improve service provision in Sheffield.

Your views will go towards an Inclusion Strategy that will help improve the support that Sheffield as a city offer your children for the next 5 years in order to address the issues that Ofsted and the CQC have highlighted.

We have sent out this survey by post to our clients, but you can also download the document here: Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind SEND Parents and Carer’s Survey

On behalf of Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind, we would like to thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire. All of your views will be shared with Sheffield City Council on 7th October 2019.
