Switchover help scheme logoDigital Switchover

The digital switchover for televsion signals in Sheffiled is underway. For people who are registered blind and partially sighted and struggling with their TV help is available from the government funded Switchover help Scheme which can be contacted on their freephone helpline 0800 40 87 656 or online at www.helpscheme.co.uk/

The assistance available can include an engineer visiting you at home, provision of a fully accessible, set top freeview box, retuning your existing television and, if necessary, adjusting or replacing your TV aerial. The cost of this service is £40 but is free to people in receipt of pension credit, income-related employment and support allowance (ESA(IR)), income support or income-based jobseeker's allowance.
