Our Activity Packs are currently being sent to over 180 clients. They are themed differently each week, and last week was around Burn's Night.
We also run Telephone Groups, one of which is the Creative Writing Group, who we asked to write poems for Burn's Night so that we could send them with our Activity Packs. (We have included one of the fabulous poems below from Mike, thanks Mike!)
This week we are featuring the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch where we thought we could celebrate some of our feathered friends. This includes information about recognising the different types of birds and also their birdsong, so everyone can join in if they wish.

Hunting the Haggis
It’s off to the Highlands of Scotland
to hunt for that glorious beast
known as a wild mountain Haggis
and is held to be a most tasty feast
Daily I trudged through the heather
hoping to come on a trail
I regularly blew on the bagpipes
my efforts though proved no avail
After six days and nights I was tired
so decided to call it a day
The calls from the bagpipes were useless
in the end I just threw it away
So I’m off the hills and the valleys
In the hopes to discover the trails,
Of a creature that’s known as a Rarebit
that lives wild, in the mountains of Wales.
By Mike.
