UPDATE: We are all hopeful that the steps on the ‘roadmap’ for easing Covid restrictions announced by the Government this week (22nd Feb) will be able to unfold as planned over the coming months.

Here is a link to the BBC website with a summary of the steps: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52530518

With reference to our services, in brief, and subject to conditions laid out by the Government, we will begin to adapt to each stage if possible:

We are hoping that staff will be able to return to work in the office over the next few weeks with vaccines and testing in place as necessary. This will mean that we can resume one to one appointments in the buildings if essential, for example, hearing aid services, benefits advice and equipment issuing.

Our Community Advice Officers continue to support our clients and if anybody requires any advice or help with anything, please contact us on 0114 272 2757 or 01709 722 420.

There is good news for our care home (Cairn Home) that residents will be able to have one regular visitor with whom they can hold hands from 8th March.

Over the coming months we will be looking to slowly expand our services, taking account of the relaxation of the restrictions whilst still doing our best to ensure the safety of our clients, volunteers and staff.

We are still currently in lockdown, but the Government roadmap for easing the Covid 19 restrictions can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-response-spring-2021 and a summary here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-response-spring-2021/covid-19-response-spring-2021-summary
