SRSB were asked to carry out some training at an Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC) for Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists recently. They were shown how to use the Eyes Right Vision Screening Toolkit, which is a non-medical sight test that aims to act as a reminder to people to go for a full eye health check every two years. The OT’s hope to take this out with them on home visits to clients as well as using it in the centre to make sure that sight loss is not a contributory factor to falls or has occurred as the result of stroke or other illness. Everyone found the toolkit useful and easy to use after practising for an hour and watching a demonstration. |
