We are really missing our team during the lockdown, that’s for sure. So we are sure our clients are too. Here is a little reminder of what our team members are usually doing when not under house arrest. We are going to feature members of the team each week...
Rachael runs the DeafBlind group at our Mappin Street Centre has been employed by SRSB for 13 years but she was involved in running the DeafBlind group before SRSB took direct responsibility for operating the group in July 2013. The group meet every Thursday at our Mappin Street Centre from 10:30am to 2:30pm (in normal times) and provide an opportunity for up to 12 deafblind people to meet on a social basis in an environment that takes account of their specialist communication needs.

She is a trained guide communicator with signing skills, with support from volunteers, they ensure that the members of the group enjoy a range of activities and outings. Rachael is passionate about, and is very dedicated to, this role.
