This is a new (to the UK anyway) sport for visually impaired people that is very popular in Eastern Europe, it’s a hybrid of table tennis and air hockey. We have secured funding for the table with associated equipment and we have a young client who is keen to get involved with running a weekly session. A video of the sport can be viewed on YouTube

Showdown is one of the sports included in the 2023 International Blind Sports Association’s World Games being held in Birmingham in 2023 so there is even an opportunity to represent your country.
