My name is Tony and I joined RSS when it first opened five years ago, first as Technical Trainer and after the lockdown my role changed I became Deaf Services Co-ordinator. My role encompasses using British Sign Language (BSL) when working with our Deaf clients and working alongside our Community Advice Officers providing help and support on deaf issues. I also assess and issue equipment on behalf of Rotherham Council which means I visit clients in the home to assess their needs for hearing impairment equipment, something I enjoy. I also provide services to hearing aid users on behalf of Rotherham NHS Audiology services, such as retubing of hearing aids and help & support. Meeting new people means there’s never a dull moment at RSS!
