Tele-Friends Volunteer

Introduction to the Role

This role provides an invaluable contact for our clients, some of whom may be quite isolated. They look forward to the weekly phone call that our Tele-Friends make and rely on it to provide them with a friendly, trustworthy service.

You will be supervised by our Volunteer Co-ordinator.

Where the role is based:

In the office at SRSB’s Mappin Street Centre in Sheffield.

Time Involved:

2 to 4 hours, once a week. But we are flexible with the time to suit you.

Skills required:

It is essential that you are a friendly, caring person who will enjoy chatting over the telephone. Good communication, commitment to the role and a clear speaking voice are important.
