University of Sheffield Journalism Students' Movie about Simon Wheatcroft and the Yorkshire Half Marathon 2015
This movie was produced by Yuk Lun Chan, Sam Pearce and Hang Fu Wong.
Sheffield Hallam University Student Animation for SRSB
We worked with some students from Sheffield Hallam University who were on the Interactive Media and Animation course and they produced this promotional movie for our charity.
Visual Impairment Awareness Movie
Below is a clip of a charity event in which we gave a presentation to staff at a GP surgery. It was a Sheffield event that raised awareness of the needs of patients with sensory impairments who visit the surgery. The clip features Steve Hambleton, our General Manager, playing the part of a blind patient and Dyane Midgley, our Volunteer & Training Co-ordinator, playing the part of a receptionist in a doctor's surgery.
Fundraising Event Movie
Below is a movie of our Zip Slide at Bramall Lane on 15th May 2011. It shows a few of the participants on the zip slide followed by some interviews. This is a student journalist's footage of the fundraising event which was in support of the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind and the Spinal Injuries Association.
Web Accessibility Movie
A short film made by postgraduate students with the Department of Information Studies at Sheffield University exploring issues relating to web acessibility for people with visual impairments. Includes interviews with visually impaired students and Steve Hambleton, General Manager of Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind. The film briefly explores why the internet is important to visually impaired people, and identifies common issues with websites that limit accessibility.
