Reception Volunteer

Introduction to the Role

The aim of this role is to be the first contact at the main entrance for our clients and visitors to our Centre as a “Meeter and Greeter”. You will direct visitors to the appropriate room, guiding them if necessary, or providing immediate information to them.

You will also assist our receptionist, which will include covering the reception desk during lunch time and breaks.

 

You will be supervised by the receptionist.

Where the role is based:

At our Mappin Street Centre.

Time Involved:

We particularly require cover over lunch, between 12 to 2pm Monday to Friday. Time commitment can be flexible within these hours.

However, assistance is also appreciated during the main busy period, between 10.30am until 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Skills required:

This role is suitable for people with a friendly confident personality, and a calm nature who enjoys working in a busy environment. Telephone skills are not essential but are useful.
