Equipment Centre Assistant Volunteer

Assisting in the day to day running of the Equipment Centre which is open to our clients and the public.

Duties will include:

  • Sales/retail of equipment
  • Invoices and receipts for sales
  • Face to face communication with general public and SRSB clients
  • Information about, and demonstration of, equipment
  • Stock taking
  • General housekeeping

In the Equipment Centre at SRSB’s Mappin Street Centre in Sheffield.

To be arranged, between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm when the Equipment Centre is open. Ideally, approximately 4 hours from 10am to 2pm. Number of days dependant upon availablity.

You will need to flexible for this role as you may be needed to assist with a few different tasks. It is essential that you are a friendly, caring, reliable person who enjoys meeting, socialising and interacting with our visually impaired clients.

You will need basic IT skills and good communication.

Retail/sales experience would be useful
